we also used the video for discussion last Wednesday and my volunteers were blown away by the discussion. i set up a sort of mock debate and made kids argue for and against the ideas expressed in the video regardless of how they personally felt. it prompted great discussion! thanks for linking the response too!

I used this last Wednesday for our discussion. The youth had a lot to say..after a good discussion, I also read this response that I found online. I like that the video makes youth decide what they really think - but more so, I like what the response says.

I'm using it this Sunday, so I haven't received too many responses yet. However, I'm not at all surprised that the teenagers you work with showed such passion. I think that the generation of progressive Christians who are in their teens and 20s right now have far more conviction about what they believe than the world thinks. That's just a hunch, because I am three years removed from my time in the Episcopal church, but the students I know with progressive Christian beliefs (and we have a decent number in our evangelical-minded church) are as committed to what they believe as students who defend the inerrancy of the Bible.

Personally, I love the video because of the reason you already mentioned: it evokes a response and gets people talking. I can't wait to show it this Sunday.
